About our Children's Choirs
Cherub Choir is for children ages 4 and 5 (by Sept.1). This is a training choir where basic music and Christian concepts are "taught" in a game-like setting involving much movement and physical activity.
The Carol Choir is for children in grades 1 and 2. Music education continues with the use of actual anthems in the hands of the singers. Hymns and Scriptural songs are taught as well as the church year and parts of the worship service. This choir sings about six times a year.
Director: Lynn Urda
Melody Bells is a training bell choir for children in grades 4 and 5 who are also members of the Wesley Singers. The rudiments of bell ringing and note reading are taught. Participation in worship begins as soon as the ringers are prepared. Ringers must be active members of the Wesley Singers
Director: Tom Moore
Third graders will express text, rhythm, melody and harmony through the use of unpitched and pitched percussion instruments (Orff instruments), movements, handchimes and recorders. Musical skills will be developed verbally in speech play and vocally with beautiful singing. Third graders who wish to be in Wesley Orffans must be active members of the Wesley Singers.
Director: Robin Seagraves

Piano Teachers and Assistants Needed. Would you be available to help teach/mentor our piano classes on a regular basis or on a rotating basis? We have all the keyboards, curriculum, materials, and students we need. We just need more helpers. These are great classes with wonderful community and church support! Are you willing and able to assist with one or both of these classes? If so, contact Tom Moore at Tom_Moore@tfumc.org.
