Our Tucker First missions ministry is working this Fall with Habitat for Humanity-DeKalb to help repair and restore houses in DeKalb. While we are not building an entire house as in years past, we will be lending our time and talents to help with existing projects (renovations and repairs).
Our build dates are all Saturdays: September 28, and October 5 and 12.

Habitat for Humanity-DeKalb prides itself on being a hand UP not a hand OUT by providing a path to home ownership to DeKalb County residents who would not be able to qualify for a traditional mortgage. Partner families have to live or work in DeKalb County, be between 30% and 60% of median income, and be willing to put in 250 hours of “sweat equity” working on their own home and other Habitat projects. Once their home and sweat equity hours are complete, they get the home at less than cost with a 30 year no interest mortgage.
